Before scheduling your visit ...
You will sign up separately for each program you want to attend. Admissions visits run regularly; academic visits vary. Campus visits don't affect admission decisions, but you'll be glad you came!

Explore all of our in-person visit options by date! This calendar includes visits hosted by Admissions as well as our academic communities. In most cases, a variety of visit programs are offered each day. If you're interested in attending multiple programs, make sure to sign up for each one separately.
Admissions Visits
Tour campus and learn about everything we have to offer you! These events are hosted by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
Prospective student visits are for students interested in Illinois who haven't been admitted yet.
The Illinois Experience & Campus Tour
This event offers an immersive view into the campus experience. If you're looking for insight on our admissions process, explore our website.
- For first-year and transfer students
- Held most weekdays
- Two-and-a-half hours in length
- 30-minute presentation about life on campus
- 20-minute Q&A session with current students
- Hour-and-a-half student-led walking tour through the heart of campus

Admitted student visits are for students who have received an offer of admission.
Illinois Bound
Students looking for a deeper Illinois experience are welcome to sign up for one of our Illinois Bound events which connect you with unique campus communities and resources.
Community Showcase
Showcase offers the opportunity to explore campus, open houses, and resources like the Bruce D. Nesbitt African American Cultural Center, Hillel, or Native American House and talk directly with their students.
Admitted Student Day
Admitted Student Day focuses on exploring your college of choice and meeting fellow future classmates. You'll also tour select housing facilities and eat in their dining areas.

StartStrong
Attend the annual student-led Cotton Club performance, sponsored by Central Black Student Union. Tour the Bruce D. Nesbitt African American Cultural Center and talk directly with its students.
Daily Admitted Info Session & Campus Tour
- For admitted first-year and transfer students
- Two-and-a-half hours in length
- Includes Next Steps presentation, Q&A with current students, and walking tour

High school groups of 8 to 50 students are welcome to visit campus through our free program. Counselors who are interested in requesting a group visit to Illinois should register through our online calendar.

The Admissions campus tour includes a housing tour of our Illinois Street Residence (ISR) Halls. Additional housing tours are offered from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. every weekday (excluding holidays and university breaks). You can also schedule a Private Certified Housing tour directly with the facility of your choice.
