Tips for Scheduling Your Visit
- If you're interested in attending multiple programs when visiting campus, you need to sign up for each one separately. Note that Admissions visits are offered consistently, while academic visits vary in availability.
- Although we consider a lot of factors when making an admission decision, visiting campus isn't one of them. (Trust us, though, you'll be glad if you do!)

Admissions Visits
Tour campus and learn about everything we have to offer you! These events are hosted by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
Prospective student visits are for students interested in Illinois who haven't been admitted yet.

- Two-and-a-half hours in length
- 30-minute presentation about life on campus
- 20-minute Q&A session with current students
- Hour-and-a-half student-led walking tour through the heart of campus

- Specifically for transfer students
- Held on select Fridays
- Two-and-a-half hours in length
- 45-minute presentation on transfer admissions process and life at Illinois
- 15-minute Q&A session with current students
- Hour-and-a-half student-led walking tour through the heart of campus

These visits are for students who have received an offer of admission. Admitted transfer visits are available beginning in the fall, and admitted first-year visits are available in the spring.

High school groups of 8 to 50 students are welcome to visit campus through our free program. Counselors who are interested in requesting a group visit to Illinois should register through our online calendar.

At Illinois, we offer over 150 majors within 11 academic communities. Note that available dates vary by academic community. Reach out to an academic community directly if you have any questions.

The Admissions campus tour includes a housing tour of our Illinois Street Residence (ISR) Halls. Additional housing tours are offered from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. every weekday (excluding holidays and university breaks). You can also pre-arrange a Private Certified Housing tour directly with the facility of your choice.
