Tips for Scheduling Your Visit
- If you're interested in attending multiple programs when visiting campus, you need to sign up for each one separately. Note that Admissions visits are offered consistently, while academic visits vary in availability.
- Although we consider a lot of factors when making an admission decision, visiting campus isn't one of them. (Trust us, though, you'll be glad if you do!)

Admissions Visits
Tour campus and learn about everything UIUC has to offer you! These events are hosted by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
Prospective student visits are for students interested in UIUC who haven't been admitted yet.
IlliniFest
- For first-year and transfer students
- Held on Saturday, September 21 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. CT
- Unique programming offered only at this visit, with tours, presentations and panels, resource fairs, and more happening across campus all day
- Explore everything UIUC offers entirely on your own schedule

The Illinois Experience & Campus Tour
This event offers an immersive view into the campus experience. If you're looking for insight on our admissions process, explore our website.

- Held most weekdays
- Two-and-a-half hours in length
- 30-minute presentation about life on campus
- 20-minute Q&A session with current students
- Hour-and-a-half student-led walking tour through the heart of campus

Transfer Admissions Info Session & Campus Tour
- Specifically for transfer students
- Held on select Fridays
- Two-and-a-half hours in length
- 45-minute presentation on transfer admissions process and life at UIUC
- 15-minute Q&A session with current students
- Hour-and-a-half student-led walking tour through the heart of campus

These visits are for students who have received an offer of admission from UIUC. Admitted transfer visits are available beginning in the fall, and admitted first-year visits are available in the spring.

Registration is currently closed for all admitted visits.
High school groups of 8 to 50 students are welcome to visit campus through our free program. Counselors who are interested in requesting a group visit to UIUC should register through our online calendar.

At UIUC, we offer over 150 majors within 11 academic communities. Note that available dates vary by academic community. Reach out to an academic community directly if you have any questions.

The Admissions campus tour includes a housing tour of our Illinois Street Residence (ISR) Halls. Additional housing tours are offered from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. every weekday (excluding holidays and university breaks). You can also pre-arrange a Private Certified Housing tour directly with the facility of your choice.
