• Priority Deadline: March 1 (Submitting by this date gives you the best chance for admission to your preferred program but does not mean you will receive an earlier decision)
• Notification Timing: Decisions released from March to May

Our application opens in January for fall applicants. You must submit your application by 11:59 p.m. CDT on April 5. For the best chance at admission to your program of choice, we strongly encourage you to submit your application and all supporting materials (including an application fee or fee waiver, transcripts, and English proficiency scores if applicable) by our March 1 priority deadline. Submitting by this date gives you the best chance for admission to your preferred program but does not mean you will receive an earlier decision. If supporting materials aren't received by March 1 but arrive by April 10, you'll be considered as meeting our regular deadline. Decisions will be released from March to May.

Online Programs

Our online programs will consider applications for fall admission through July 15. To apply to one of these programs after April 5, please submit a petition through myIllini.

Summer Term

Note that students don't apply directly for our summer term. If you're interested in taking summer courses at Illinois, you may apply for fall and request a term change if you're admitted and accept your offer.
