Major: Molecular and Cellular Biology
College: Liberal Arts and Sciences (LAS)

One-on-One

What are your favorite places to study, hang out, and relax?
My favorite places to study are the engineering library, the undergrad library, the ACES library, and the Union. I like to hangout at the Union most of the time and relax there. I also enjoy my time at the Krannert Art Museum.

What clubs or organizations on campus are you involved with?
Illinois Student Senate: The student government of the University

Transfer Mentors: As a student group, we invite new transfer students and mentor them through their exciting Illinois journey.

P.E.C.: Positive Event Chain. Highly recommended for everyone, it’s a club with weekly meetings were you get to have fun and make other people smile.

TAU Sigma: The Honor Society for transfer students.

Why and how did you choose your major?
I chose it for my interest in organic biology and learning how it works. It is also a way to get to a dental school.

Describe your most memorable experience at Illinois.
My first Quad Day; seeing close to a thousand people at one place at the same time is really something!

What is your advice to prospective students?
Always talk to an advisor at your school and at the University. Make your school visit and see what Illinois is all about. And don’t forget to enjoy being a student of the best University.
