Belated Arriving

I am an entering freshman, and I might not be able to arrive before registration and the beginning of classes.

Would that cause a big problem to my GPA and registering for classes?

If there is no way for me to arrive on time, then is there any way to solve my situation?

If you are an international student your arrival by date on your I-20 is August 19.  Students must be able to attend the first day of classes on August 24.  If you are not able to arrive before the first day of classes you will need to request to delay your admission to another term.  You can request to delay your admission for up to one year.  Please contact our office at 217-333-0302 or admissions@illinois.edu if you will not arrive on or before August 19.
