The course information suite says that Stats 100 fulfills the QR1 requirement. If I received AP credit for Stats 100, does that mean I have already met my QR1 requirement? The ap credit page made it clear that I have 3 credit hours for statistics, but it did not say if I met my QR1 gen ed requirement.

Hello,

If you received the required score on your AP Statistics test you will receive credit for the associated STAT 100 course.  How that credit will be used and subsequent placement may differ from college to college and academic program to academic program.  It could very well fulfill your Quantitative Reasoning I general education requirement, however individual Colleges or curricula may require specific courses or course categories for general education requirements.  It is probably best to wait until your AP credit has been posted on your U of I Student Self-Service account, and then contact your college office or academic advisor with any questions on how this credit will be applied.
